There are three ways to connect and book your appointment. You can visit our online booking system, phone our booking line (1800 817 675) or make an appointment in-person by speaking with any UConnect staff member.

1. Visit our online booking system

www.utas.edu.au/appointments
  • For a face to face appointment, select your chosen campus.
  • For a phone or Zoom appointment, leave campus as "Any".
  • To select a specific counsellor, use the "Practitioner" box, otherwise leave as "Any".
  • Click on "Personal Counselling" under "What would you like to talk about". You can then see all available appointments.
  • Once you have selected an appointment time, ensure you have indicated whether you would like this appointment to be in-person, Zoom or phone.
  • When you have booked the appointment, you will receive a confirmation email to your student email address with details about your appointment and how to connect with your counsellor.

2. Phone 1800 817 675. Tell the operator you want to book a counselling appointment. Let them know if you would prefer an in-person, Zoom or phone appointment.

3. Speak with a U Connect staff member at your nearest U Connect or Student Services location.

It is helpful to provide a phone number (and email) so that your counsellor can get in contact things are not working as planned.

* Please note a portion of appointments are "SAME DAY" - these appointments can be viewed the day before the appointment but can only be booked from 5pm the day before.

Urgent Support

During semester, there may be a wait time for appointments, especially if you would like an in-person appointment. To access an earlier appointment, consider booking a distance (phone or Zoom) appointment, or check for a SAME DAY appointment at 5pm the day before.

If you would like to speak to a counsellor urgently, consider contacting our After-Hours Support Line: CALL 1300 511 709 or TEXT 0488 884 168 (5pm-9am weekdays, 24hrs weekends and public holidays).
